Oakland Community Festival

Please join Supervisor Nate Miley and others, for a FREE Community Festival for the entire family that will include: music, food, games and community resources. Community resources will include Prop 47 consultation, financial literacy, clean slate intake and other resources. Click here for more information.

Merritt College’s Bridge to Healthcare Careers Summer Program

This program is for young adults between the ages of 17 to 24 that are interested in Healthcare Careers. Please check out Merritt College’s six-week Bridge to Healthcare Careers summer program.

Key Program Features:

  • College courses (including “Orientation to College” and “Interpersonal Communication Skills”)
  • Academic support
  • Free lunch
  • Stipend upon completion
  • Guest speakers from folks who are in the various healthcare careers
  • When: Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Neighborhood Empowerment Day
