We are committed to building strong sustainable organizations within and among the not-for-profit community. Hands Helping Hands, Inc. (H3) awards small grants to build the capacity of organizations that serve the most vulnerable populations within our community. Grants in the amount of $1,500-$15,000 are awarded on a continuous basis to organizations with a 501(c)3 status or to individuals who have a fiscal sponsor with the IRS non-profit designation.
In 2015, we awarded over $600,000 to Oakland based non-profit organizations. In 2016, over $700,000 was awarded, increasing our grantee list to 53 total organizations benefitted by the H3 Grant program.
We are dedicated to assisting applicants that have a demonstrated plan to address organizational weaknesses. The “3 Tier” funding platform is designed to streamline the process and produce more impactful results.
